Free Document Shredding Event in Bangor

Join me for a free paper shredding event on Saturday, May 16, from 10 a.m. to noon at the Blue Valley Farm Show parking lot, 707 American Bangor Road, Bangor.

This event will give 138th District residents a safe and convenient way to dispose of sensitive documents while also learning how to better protect themselves from identity theft and common scams. Educational information on fraud prevention will be available throughout the event.

Each household may bring up to four boxes or bags of personal documents for secure shredding. Paper and manila folders will be accepted. Hanging folders and X-rays will not be accepted, and staples and paper clips do not need to be removed. This service is for personal documents only, and business materials will not be accepted.

Residents may also bring worn or damaged U.S. flags for proper retirement.
